Twin-Shaft, High-Torque Shearing Two counter-rotating shafts fitted with thick alloy blades operate at very low speed (12–25 rpm), generating enormous shear force. This action cleanly cuts through resilient rubber, synthetic polymers, and embedded steel reinforcements without the friction heat and spark risk of high-speed grinders.
Steel Wire & Fiber Tolerant Many rubber products contain steel cord or nylon fabric. Our blade profile and shaft design cut these materials rather than wrapping them. Steel wire is sheared into short segments that can be easily removed by a downstream magnetic separator. This makes the machine ideal for conveyor belts, reinforced hoses, and tires.
Anti-Jam & Auto-Reverse Intelligence The PLC control system continuously monitors shaft torque. Upon detecting an overload or hard foreign object, the rotors automatically reverse to eject the obstruction, then resume forward rotation — all within seconds and without operator intervention. This keeps production flowing on mixed, unpredictable feedstock.
Long-Life, Re-Sharpenable Cutting System Blade segments are precision-machined from high-alloy, through-hardened tool steel. Their thick profile withstands heavy impacts and accepts multiple re-sharpening cycles. Quick-release access covers allow fast blade rotation or replacement, keeping maintenance intervals short and throughput high.

Can this shredder handle both tires and industrial rubber without changing settings? Yes. The twin-shaft design and PLC load-sensing feed mean the machine adapts automatically to varying material densities and toughness. You can feed a mix of tires, conveyor belts, and molded parts without constant adjustments.
What happens to the steel wire inside the rubber? The shearing action cuts the steel wire into short lengths. These can then be separated downstream by a magnetic separator. The rubber shreds come out relatively clean, ready for further processing.
Does the machine overheat with sticky synthetic rubber? No. The low rotational speed (12–25 rpm) generates minimal frictional heat. Sticky rubbers that would melt and gum up in a high-speed grinder are cut cleanly without heating up to softening temperatures.
How often do blades need re-sharpening? For mixed rubber waste, including tires with steel, expect 400–800 working hours between sharpening cycles. Clean industrial rubber offcuts can extend this interval significantly. Blades can be re-sharpened 5–7 times before replacement.
