Product Introduction

The Aquatic Feed Pellet Machine is a heavy-duty flat die mill designed specifically for the aquaculture industry. It compresses a blend of fish meal, soybean meal, wheat flour, rice bran, and essential binders into dense, water-stable sinking pellets. Unlike crumbled farm-made feed that quickly disintegrates and pollutes pond water, our pellets exhibit over 30 minutes of water stability and a 99% sinking rate, ensuring your fish and shrimp consume every particle. With precise die sizes from Φ1.5mm to Φ4mm, you can produce starter feed for fry, grower feed for juvenile fish, and finishing feed for market-size tilapia, catfish, and carp. On-farm pelleting slashes aquaculture feed costs by up to 50% and gives you full control over ingredient freshness and formula customization.

Why Choose Us

  • Drastically Cut Aquafeed Costs: Independent shrimp and fish farmers report saving 40–50% on feed expenses by pelleting their own soybean-fishmeal blends instead of buying commercial extruded feed.

  • Sinking Pellets with Superior Water Stability: High-pressure compression and an optional pre-conditioner create dense pellets (density ≥1.2 g/cm³) that sink instantly and remain intact in water for 30–60 minutes without dissolving. This minimizes nutrient loss and pond water pollution.

  • Precision Pellet Sizes for Every Aquatic Species: Interchangeable dies produce 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, and 4mm pellets. Fine enough for small shrimp and fry, yet robust for adult tilapia and carp.

  • Optional Steam Conditioning for Better Digestion: A jacketed conditioner (optional add-on) pre-cooks raw starch in grains, improving pellet binding, water stability, and feed digestibility. Your fish convert more feed into body mass.

  • Built for Humid, Heavy-Duty Farm Environments: ZQ series oil-bath gearbox, 20CrMnTi alloy rollers heat-treated to HRC58-62, and fully enclosed motor. Designed for daily operation in the harsh, humid conditions typical of fish farms.

  • One Machine, Multiple Feeds: Simply change the die to produce poultry, pig, or cattle feed during off-peak aquaculture seasons, maximizing your return on investment.

Proven Results Backed by Data

Proven Aquafeed Performance
Aggregated from after-sales reports among 80+ fish and shrimp farming clients in Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America (2022–2024):

  • 40–50% Lower Feed Cost: Farmers replacing commercial floating catfish feed with self-made sinking pellets report monthly feed bills cut by nearly half.

  • 20% Improvement in Pond Water Quality: Water-stable pellets reduce uneaten feed decomposition, keeping ammonia levels lower and reducing the need for water exchange.

  • Better FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio): Fresh raw materials and steam conditioning increase protein digestibility, with tilapia farmers reporting an FCR improvement from 1.6 to 1.3–1.4.

  • Investment Payback within 6–9 Months: With feed cost savings and higher survival rates, most small to medium aquaculture operations recover the machine cost in under two production cycles.

FAQ

Can this machine make both sinking and floating fish feed? This flat die machine specializes in high-density sinking feed. For floating or slow-sinking feed, we offer a twin-screw extruder line. Many of our clients use this pellet mill for tilapia and catfish sinking feed, and the extruder for marine floating feed.
How long do the pellets last in water without dissolving? With proper raw material preparation and an optional steam conditioner, pellets remain intact for 30–60+ minutes. This is more than enough for your fish to finish feeding and prevents water pollution.
The die holes are very small for shrimp and fry. Does it still have good output? Yes. Output is 300–500 kg/h for 2mm pellets. This is sufficient for a medium-scale fish farm producing 2–3 tons of feed per day. You can also start with a larger die and gradually move to finer feeds.
What binders can I use to improve water stability? Wheat flour, cassava starch, and pre-gelatinized starch are all excellent natural binders that our machine processes perfectly. They are inexpensive and available in most markets.
Can I add high levels of fish meal and oil? Yes. The alloy steel rollers handle oily materials without slipping. We recommend keeping total fat content under 8% for optimal pellet hardness. If you need high-fat pellets, we can advise on formulation.
What are the warranty and spare parts terms? 12-month warranty on the main body and gearbox. We stock fine-aperture dies (1.5mm–4mm), rollers, and bearings specifically for aquafeed production. Spares can ship within 3–5 days.
