Twin-Shaft, High-Torque Shearing — No Bouncing, No Melting Two counter-rotating shafts fitted with thick, precision-ground alloy blades run at very low speed (12–25 rpm). The aggressive hooks grab soft foam and shear it cleanly into uniform chips. Unlike high-speed grinders that bounce off elastic surfaces and generate friction heat, our controlled action eliminates melting and thermal degradation.
Anti-Wrap & Anti-Slip Feed System Foam can be frustratingly slippery. Our hydraulically driven feed ram maintains constant pressure against the rotors, forcing even lightweight EPE sheets and soft PU blocks into the cutting zone. The rotor geometry is specifically designed to prevent material wrapping, ensuring continuous, jam-free operation.
Massive Volume Reduction — Cut Transport & Storage Costs EPS and EPE are 90–98% air. Our shredder reduces foam waste volume by up to 80% in a single pass. FAQ

Will the shredder melt the foam due to friction? No. The extremely low rotor speed (12–25 rpm) generates virtually no frictional heat. The foam is sheared, not ground, which means no melting, no sticky residue, and no thermal degradation of the material.
How much can the shredder reduce the volume of EPS foam? Volume reduction depends on the final particle size, but typically EPS waste can be reduced by 70–80% in volume directly out of the shredder. Further cold compaction can achieve up to 90% volume reduction for storage and transport.
Can the machine handle foam with plastic film or tape attached? Yes. The twin-shaft shearing action cuts through thin plastic films and adhesive tapes attached to foam blocks. For heavily contaminated foam, we recommend a manual sorting step upstream.
Is the dust from foam shredding hazardous? Foam dust can be a respiratory irritant and, in the case of EPS, potentially explosive in high concentrations.
