Product Introduction

The Fertilizer Pellet Machine is a heavy-duty flat die or ring die pellet mill designed to compress a wide range of organic and inorganic fertilizer raw materials into dense, uniform cylindrical or spherical granules. From animal manure and crop residues to municipal sludge, peat, humic acid, and NPK compound powders, this machine transforms low-value, hard-to-handle materials into slow-release, soil-conditioning fertilizer pellets. Pelletizing reduces dust, improves storage and transport efficiency, and enables precise mechanical spreading — giving your fertilizer product a professional, market-ready form that commands premium prices. With options for corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, specialized compression ratios for organic fiber, and integrated drying/cooling systems, our fertilizer pellet line is a complete solution for small-to-medium fertilizer plants and large-scale farms turning waste into profit.

Why Choose Us

  • Turn Manure & Waste into a Valuable Product: Instead of paying for waste disposal or simply composting, you create a salable, branded fertilizer pellet that meets organic certification standards. A single machine can pay for itself in one planting season through fertilizer sales or reduced chemical input costs on your own land.

  • Improve Nutrient Efficiency & Reduce Runoff: Pelletized fertilizer releases nutrients slowly into the soil, reducing nitrogen volatilization and phosphorus runoff compared to raw manure or powder. Crops absorb more of what you apply, improving yield while protecting local waterways.

  • Handle High-Moisture, Fibrous Organic Materials: Our fertilizer-specific dies and anti-corrosion rollers process chicken manure (up to 30% moisture after pre-drying), cow dung, straw, green waste, and biogas residue without clogging. Specialized compression ratios compact fibrous material into hard granules that resist breaking during transport.

  • Uniform Pellet Size for Precision Agriculture: Interchangeable dies produce granules from 2.5mm to 8mm in diameter, matched to the spreading equipment and crop type. Consistent size means uniform nutrient release and better field performance.

  • Corrosion-Resistant Build for Long Service Life: Contact parts are available in 304 or 316L stainless steel, preventing the aggressive corrosion caused by ammonia, organic acids, and wet fertilizer materials. Heavy-duty sealed bearings and stainless fasteners ensure durability in the harsh, humid environment of fertilizer processing.

  • Optional Integrated Drying & Cooling: We can supply a complete line with a rotary dryer, cooler, and vibrating screen to bring high-moisture fermented materials to the ideal pelleting condition and harden the finished granules.

  • One Machine, Multiple Fertilizer Types: Switch dies to produce organic fertilizer pellets from manure and straw, bio-organic pellets with added beneficial microbes, or NPK compound fertilizer granules from mineral powders — all on the same pellet mill.

Proven Results Backed by Data

Proven Performance in Fertilizer Production
Based on after-sales audits of 120+ fertilizer pellet machine installations at organic fertilizer plants and large farms across 30 countries (2022–2024):

  • 40–60% Reduction in Chemical Fertilizer Use: Farmers using self-made organic pellets on their own land report replacing a significant portion of synthetic NPK fertilizers, saving $5,000–$20,000 per year on input costs while improving soil organic matter.

  • Premium Prices for Pelletized Organic Fertilizer: Bagged, pelletized organic fertilizer sells for $200–$450 per ton in domestic and export markets, compared to $30–$80 per ton for raw compost or manure, creating a strong profit margin.

  • Higher Crop Yields & Better Soil Structure: Crops fertilized with slow-release organic pellets show 10–20% higher yields in vegetable, fruit, and greenhouse production, while soil compaction, salinity, and microbial health improve measurably within 2–3 seasons.

  • Compliance with Organic Certification Standards: Our machines produce pellets without synthetic binders or chemical additives, making them fully compatible with USDA Organic, EU Organic, and other certification requirements for premium organic markets.

  • Reliable Operation with Wet, Sticky Materials: Users processing fermented chicken manure with 25–30% moisture report stable, clog-free production with our specialized die designs and anti-stick roller coatings.

Applicable

Applications: What Fertilizers Can You Pelletize?
This Fertilizer Pellet Machine is the core equipment for producing a wide range of organic and compound fertilizers:

  • Organic Fertilizer: Fermented animal manure (chicken, cow, pig, sheep), crop straw, green waste, mushroom residue, biogas digester residue, and municipal sludge.

  • Bio-Organic Fertilizer: Enriched with beneficial microorganisms (bacteria, fungi) for enhanced soil biology and disease suppression.

  • Humic Acid & Organic-Inorganic Blends: Peat, lignite, and humic acid mixed with mineral nutrients for slow-release soil conditioners.

  • NPK Compound Fertilizer: Urea, DAP, MOP, SSP, and other mineral powders pelleted into uniform compound granules for precision agriculture.

  • Organic Mineral Fertilizers: Rock phosphate, bone meal, and seaweed extract compressed into natural, slow-release plant food pellets.

FAQ

What moisture level is required for pelleting animal manure? After fermentation, manure should be dried or dewatered to 20–30% moisture for optimal pelleting. If it is too wet, we recommend a rotary dryer before the pellet machine. If it is too dry (below 15%), adding a small amount of water or a binder like bentonite improves pellet hardness.
Do I need to add binders for organic fertilizer pellets? Not always. Well-fermented manure with adequate fine fiber content can be pelleted without binders. For materials with low fiber, such as sludge or highly decomposed compost, adding 5–10% bentonite, starch, or lignin improves pellet strength and yield.
Can I use the same machine for both organic and compound NPK fertilizer? Yes. The flat die pellet mill can process both organic materials and mineral powders by simply changing the die and adjusting roller clearance. However, for large-scale NPK production exceeding 2 tons per hour, we recommend a dedicated ring die fertilizer line.
How do you protect the machine from corrosion by wet manure? We offer stainless steel (304 or 316L) rollers, dies, and hoppers specifically for corrosive fertilizer applications. All exposed steel parts are treated with anti-corrosion coatings, and sealed bearings prevent ingress of moisture and dust.
Can I make both small granules for seedlings and larger granules for field crops? Yes. Change the die to produce 2.5–3mm granules for seedlings and greenhouse vegetables, 4–6mm for field crops, and 6–8mm for orchard and tree fertilization. The quick-change die system makes switching fast and practical.
